The Faith Caucus is a vital part of the Living Wage NYC campaign. This group consists of large numbers of clergy all over the city who are committed to passing the Fair Wages for New Yorkers Act. Download the Clergy Outreach brochure to meet the faith leaders and find out how you can get involved!
We worked with these leaders during the Rally for Living Wages on Nov. 21, 2011 at the Riverside Church (read speeches delivered by Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan and Rev. Dr. H. DeVore Chapman). We also coordinated with them at the Pre-MLK Day Mass Meeting for Living Wages on Jan. 17, 2011, and the Living Wage Worship Weekend, which took place from Oct. 8-10, 2010.
The Resources for Living Wage Services toolkit gives you suggestions to prepare an order of worship to help guide you as you create your service. Please share your own liturgical ideas with us. The first section presents a sample worship service. The next section provides more resources that you can use in preparing your worship service. This tool kit was created with resources from Interfaith Work Justice, Let Justice Roll Campaign, the United Church of Christ, New York Theological Seminary‘s Micah Institute, and the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union.
